Week 14
To jump straight in from where I left off, I extruded the breast down and use a loop cut to get the detail for the rib cage. Then I crease the edges underneath the breasts to give detail to the under boob.
Then I connected the rib area to the lower part of the torso that I made earlier, I had to change the lower part of the model a bit, due to the amount of polys on the lower part of the body didn't match the top part of the body, which was fine due to the guy in the video had the same issue, so following what he did, I edited the bottom part of the model, by deleting some of the faces then extruding some of the verts upwards, I had a problem where I was getting triangles, which are fine but we want quads so I added in an extra vert so that it made it a quad instead, and I used a loop cut so that the rest of the model had no N-gons. Other then that, there were no other problems, and to finish I made a hole shape in the middle for the belly button, that I will add in a bit.
To make the belly button I filled in the hole and then used the insert tool to make a smaller circle, lastly I use the cut tool to make an even smaller circle that will give the belly button detail. To get even more detail we can crease the edges to make it stand out from the rest of the body.
Now that the front part of the body is done I move onto the Back area. I start off with extruding 3 verts upwards and then using loop Cut to make more edges that will align with the rest of the body.
Then I Filled in the area, by extruding the verts making sure I had enough verts so that there wouldn't be any triangles or N-gons, on the model.
The collar bone took a while to do as it is a very weird and complex shape to make, I also had a problem where the high poly models collar bone was way too far forward which meant that I had to change the high poly model, so that I could use the Snapping tool for the lower poly model, whilst I was at it I changed the neck a bit and thickened up the arms as well. For the topology of the collar bone it went very well, I just wanted to add how the Youtuber made the centre of the collar bone in a unique way.
Then For the Neck I extrude up until it reaches the top part of the Neck, then I keep extruding faces around the Neck until it has reached the back.
Then to finish off this week with filled in the shoulders, which wasn't too difficult, I did have a little trouble with the topology as I made them quads, but look at what 2AM (Youtuber) did in the video, he made them quads but also it was better topology, as it should move better with that style of topology when it comes to rigging.
