Week 10

Now that the character model sheet has been made I researched how to make the cloths next. I watched this video(29) to help me get an idea on what I need to do to make my characters cloths. Basically what I will need to do is shape the outfit around the characters body to get the base model for the outfit, and then what I will need to do next would be to add the detail to the outfit like buttons, folds in the clothing, or anything like objects attached to the characters outfit. The model sheet will really help with making the fine detail, as it will show me everything I will have to model.

    Again make sure you capture screen shots of your attempts to follow tutorials like this and review your efforts more.

    Excellent stuff but try and split up your long posts more as some of them are extremely detailed. Easier to see your progress if you do this!

To start this Week I went back to the fringe and edited it around a bit to make it look better, I also added a few extra strands of hair to make it look more detailed and on top of the head I made a Cowlick. I start the Back of the Head by making two long strands of hair, and then editing them slightly so that they don't look too similar, as if the all the hair strands on the back of the head look the same it might look wrong and that it has been fabricated instead of naturel. This time I used the Mirror modifier to make the hair symmetrical, I don't finish the hair though, I just add a few more hairs by using the mirror modifier. Whilst I was making the Hair strands I was still keeping in mind to change the flow of the hair and the direction the bottom of the hair was pointing to make it look more natural. Week 17

Last Week I had done the feet, this Week I move onto the las body part needed for the model, which are the hands. Yet again I looked at the Youtuber 2AM for how he made the hands, because the model will be consistent if I follow the exact same guide all the way through. Like the foot we will start by making a box and loop cutting (Ctrl + R) it, but this time we will loop cut it 3 times along the Z and Y Axis, and once along the X axis. Then I scale the box down along the Y axis, I move the box up select the bottom faces and extrude them down along the Z axis to get the wrist of the hand. Then I delete the faces where the first finger would go, then like the foot I make a circle which has 6 edges, I scale it down to be about the same size of a finger and then I extrude it upwards along the Z axis. I then Loop cut Twice on the finger to get the joints, and then I make two more loop cuts on each joint one above both Joints and one below to make supporting edges. I face off the top of the ...

Now that the Hair is done it is down to the last part of modelling which will be the cloths. I looked at 2 AM for his tutorial on how he makes cloths for his characters, he looked at games like Genshin Impact, and Honkai Star rail and how they design their characters outfits, and used some of the same methods to create an outfit for his character.  (39) He made the cloths by either selecting some parts of the body and then duplicating it, and separating it to get the cloths, or he made certain parts from scratch like the jacket, or the chains. This video is very helpful as I wouldn't know where to start on making cloths, but this video helps clear things up and simplifies it in a way which makes it easy to understand how to make an outfit.   Although I have a modelling sheet for my character and I have been following some of it and changing other parts, I was thinking that I could change the clothing or the theme of the character to something different, the first Idea was...
