Week 5

For this week I decided to research how to draw better, not saying that I will have a finale concept for the character to which I could model from, however I will have gained knowledge on how to draw in the style I was going for. Not only that but I could use some of the concepts as a reference on what I want the character to look like.

To start I mostly followed this youtubers (MikeyMegaMega)(21,22) tutorials, because  for me he was the easiest person I could follow. I started with his Eye tutorial because the eyes are the most important part of a character. It was very tough to figure out how to make the eyes look different at different angles however I think at least I have a better understanding on how they should look.



Next (23) I looked at how to draw the head shape at different angles as well as the features on the face with different positioning. The Youtuber had multiple different videos on different face types, but I went with the cute version as I think it would look better for the concept art.



After (24) that I looked at a video of Mikeys on different body types for women and the proportions on how to draw them. This video helped me figure out the correct proportions on the human body to make my concept look more realistic, I know the art style I am learning for this project is kind of unrealistic, however they try their best to make it as realistic as they can

Although I didn't Draw the concept art for my character I still researched drawing techniques. As I got someone better than me to draw it, I sat down with them constantly to go over possible designs, and asked them nicely to change anything I didn't really like. It eventually was made and I think it turned out very well

Week 19

To start this Week I went back to the fringe and edited it around a bit to make it look better, I also added a few extra strands of hair to make it look more detailed and on top of the head I made a Cowlick. I start the Back of the Head by making two long strands of hair, and then editing them slightly so that they don't look too similar, as if the all the hair strands on the back of the head look the same it might look wrong and that it has been fabricated instead of naturel. This time I used the Mirror modifier to make the hair symmetrical, I don't finish the hair though, I just add a few more hairs by using the mirror modifier. Whilst I was making the Hair strands I was still keeping in mind to change the flow of the hair and the direction the bottom of the hair was pointing to make it look more natural. Week 17

Last Week I had done the feet, this Week I move onto the las body part needed for the model, which are the hands. Yet again I looked at the Youtuber 2AM for how he made the hands, because the model will be consistent if I follow the exact same guide all the way through. Like the foot we will start by making a box and loop cutting (Ctrl + R) it, but this time we will loop cut it 3 times along the Z and Y Axis, and once along the X axis. Then I scale the box down along the Y axis, I move the box up select the bottom faces and extrude them down along the Z axis to get the wrist of the hand. Then I delete the faces where the first finger would go, then like the foot I make a circle which has 6 edges, I scale it down to be about the same size of a finger and then I extrude it upwards along the Z axis. Week 20

Now that the Hair is done it is down to the last part of modelling which will be the cloths. I looked at 2 AM for his tutorial on how he makes cloths for his characters, he looked at games like Genshin Impact, and Honkai Star rail and how they design their characters outfits, and used some of the same methods to create an outfit for his character.  (39) He made the cloths by either selecting some parts of the body and then duplicating it, and separating it to get the cloths, or he made certain parts from scratch like the jacket, or the chains. This video is very helpful as I wouldn't know where to start on making cloths, but this video helps clear things up and simplifies it in a way which makes it easy to understand how to make an outfit.   Although I have a modelling sheet for my character and I have been following some of it and changing other parts, I was thinking that I could change the clothing or the theme of the character to something different, the first Idea was...
